NTNC has finalized its strategic roadmap for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/084 BS, placing a strong emphasis on government-aligned initiatives, community designed conservation and human-wildlife coexistence.

The directives were established today during NTNC’s all Projects & Programmes Annual Review-Planning Workshop, which brought together management, project chiefs, and departmental heads to evaluate past milestones and pitch forward-looking visions. The workshop was organized from 26-27th May of 2026.

During the workshop, NTNC Member-Secretary Dr. Chiranjibi Prasad Pokheral emphasized that future interventions must be built from the community level. He underscored that effective conservation cannot happen in isolation and must be partnership with local communities.

Moving into the new fiscal year, the Trust will prioritize scaling up practical, field-based interventions to minimize human-wildlife conflict, strengthening long term coexistence, and building the capacity of local youth to become active leaders in conservation.

Member-Secretary Dr. Pokheral concluded the workshop to ensure year-end achievements tangibly reflect the Trust’s overarching mission. He reminded the team that visionary planning must translate into impactful outcomes, emphasizing that true conservation stewardship ultimately serves the nation and acts as a fundamental driver of national prosperity.
