Mayor of Lalitpur Metropolitan City (LMC) Mr. Chiribabu Maharjan formally handed over an electric golf cart to the NTNC-Central Zoo at an event organized on 19 April 2024. The electric cart is the latest facility at the zoo for supporting senior citizens and disability visitors.
In addition to the electric cart, the mayor also handed over a cheque of NRs. 1.5 million, in support of the LMC’s continued adoption of the Central Zoo’s Royal Bengal Tiger named Maharaja.
The occasion also had the honor of hosting the Former President of Nepal, Mrs. Bidya Devi Bhandari, who took part in the inauguration ride of the electric cart together with the LMC mayor, NTNC chairman, and senior citizens of LMC.
