National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC) organized an inception workshop in Dhangadhi for the Climate-Resilient Landscapes and Livelihoods Project, supported by the Asian Development Bank.

The project aims to promote sustainable, community-based ecotourism across Karnali and Sudurpashchim Provinces. Implemented in collaboration with provincial ministries and local stakeholders, the initiative will focus on Bajura, Bajhang, Doti, Achham and Dadeldhura districts.

NTNC will lead key components including tourism planning, infrastructure design, and capacity building. The project will also assess the feasibility of extending trekking trails toward Ramaroshan and Rara Lake to further enhance the region’s nature-based economic potential. The workshop was attended by the Provincial Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment; representatives from the Forest Directorate of Sudurpashchim Province, DFOs, Chairpersons of Rural Municipalities and stakeholders of the province.
