The 74th Governing Board of Trustees meeting of the National Trust for Nature Conservation held on 11 July 2025 has concluded successfully.
The meeting was convened to finalize and endorse NTNC's budget for the new fiscal year 2025/26, which starts from 17 July 2025. Overall progress and performance of the Trust for the closing fiscal year 2024/25 was also reviewed in the process.
The meeting was chaired by NTNC's Chairperson and Minister for Forests and Environment Hon. Ain Bahadur Shahi Thakuri, with NTNC's Member-Secretary Dr. Naresh Subedi leading proceedings.
Board members present at the meeting from Nepal were, Prof. Dr. Ram Prasad Chaudhary, Dr. Shambhu Prasad Dangal, Dr. Bijay Kumar Singh Danuwar, Dr. Shubh Narayan Mahato, Ms. Swati Thapa, Ms. Rekha Ghimire, and Mr. Jaikrit P. Rana. A representative on behalf of the Secretary of the Ministry of Finance was also present.
International board members participating online were, The Rt. Hon. The Lord Camoys from the U.K., Drs. Cas F. de Stoppelaar from the Netherlands, and Mr. Peter William Bodde from the U.S.
Among other institutional decisions, the Governing Board has endorsed a budget of NPR 1.46 billion for the fiscal year 2025/26.
In the fiscal year 2024/25, NTNC's programme performance was at 90 percent, while achieving 97 percent of its projected income target (NPR 1.3 billion).
