The 68th Meeting of the NTNC Governing Board of Trustees concluded today at the NTNC central office. Over the past two days the Board engaged in deliberations on various agendas pertaining to the upcoming fiscal year 2023-24 (BS 2080-81). One of the primary items discussed was the proposed budget for the new fiscal year.

Chairing the meeting was the NTNC Chairperson Dr. Krishna Prasad Oli, along with Trustees in attendance, Dr. Rewati Raman Poudel, Secretary of the Ministry of Forests and Environment, Mr. Suresh Adhikari, Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Prof. Dr. Ram Prasad Chaudhary, Dr. Shambu Prasad Dangal, Dr. Shubh Narayan Mahato, Dr. Bijay Kumar Singh Danuwar, Ms. Swati Thapa, and the Member Secretary Mr. Sharad Chandra Adhikari.

The meeting also addressed other significant matters, such as reviewing the progress of the outgoing fiscal year's programmes and budget, approving the income and expenditure, presenting and discussing the Trust's Oversight Committee report, and evaluating the progress of Trustee-level sub-committees. Additionally, interaction sessions were conducted between the Board and NTNC's department heads, project chiefs, and programme managers to gain insight into their priorities and preparations.

The meeting concluded with the endorsement of NTNC's proposed budget of NPR 1.23 billion for the upcoming fiscal year 2023-24.
