Two more rhinos collared in Bardia
Two greater one-horned rhinoceros (Rrhinoceros unicornis) were successfully collared with satellite-GPS radio collar at Khata Corridor of Bardia National Park (BNP) on January 22 and 23, 2016. Now, the collared rhinos are monitored by headquarters of Bardia National Park for their movement and habitat use. As the joint initiative of the Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation, National trust for Nature Conservation and WWF Nepal, experts and wildlife technicians collared the rhinos for their study. Prior to this, two rhinos were collared on November 2014 and March 2015 in the same corridor of BNP.
